Use it in the miter slot for typical taper work, or remove it from the miter bar and guide it with the rip fence for oversized taper projects and straight-lining wide planks.
Two scales spaced 24" apart make rise-over-run taper setup easier, while multiple track-clamp slots give you flexible ways to hold rough-sawn lumber and irregular stock.
