That’s why we developed an academic advising tool called Pathways of Distinction, also known as PODs. Yes, similar to the groups in which dolphins travel, we group our majors, minors, and certificates for your degree path. PODs allows you to customize your education. Pair a chemistry major with a communications minor, or double major in psychology and political science without adding more time to your traditional undergraduate degree. Explore and combine majors in business, technology, art, and more! For Samantha, her POD was a major in marine science and a minor in chemistry which is preparing her for a career as a marine ecologist. She shares her work in the Marine Science Research Institute researching octocoral reefs and is presenting her findings at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research this year.
