iMovie has no way to add custom transitions directly into the app. Apple fixed some flaws in Keynote 10.1 and added the ability of a video to play across slides. This opens a myriad of possibilities to use Magic Move and other animations to create nifty custom video transitions and import the result into iMovie (or FCPX).
