This is a Type X arming sword made by Eric Estlund of Winter Cutlery. Unlike his newer work, this one is not named, but it is priced a bit more attractively at $3,000 for the sword and scabbard. That's still quite a chunk of change, so what do you get for that price? In this review, I give my thoughts and impressions on the sword, it's fit & finish, how it handles, and how it cuts backyard water bottles and tatami.
