In this video, Thomas and Steen talk about the FIDO program. The FIDO program serves to provide situation awareness before, during and after the launch. Input comes from the rocket's GPS and altimeter, Engine Controller for timestamps from the mission clock and the maritime AIS system. Thus, the Mission Control can always get an overview of the rocket’s position, how far the flight has progressed, where all the ships are located and their courses towards the place of splash down.
Copenhagen Suborbitals is the world's only manned, amateur space program, 100% crowdfunded and nonprofit. In the future, one of us will fly to space on a home built rocket.
