It's such an honor to be the first to cover this song.

Despite picking up Cuphead on launch day, I'm a bit late to the "cover party". Truth is I was planning on getting this one out weeks ago, but I scrapped it three times because I was unhappy with it. I don't know if it's because it's in a style that I'm not used to or what, but it just wasn't clicking. I tossed it out for the last time right before going to the Portland Retro Gaming Expo a couple weeks ago, but when I got back, decided to give it one last go. Over that weekend I told Mr. RichaadEB that I was scrapping it and he was disappointed and implored me to take another crack at it. So you can thank (or blame?) him.
I think taking a break from it then coming back helped because I like how it turned out in the end. It's amazing how much I toiled over a 45 second song, haha.
The other thing that kept me going was simply how much I love Cuphead and really wanted to do this song. I played the heck out of the game. Beat it on the regular difficulty then immediately went back and played it again on expert. (don't play it on expert)
But yeah, I hope you guys like this little ditty. It's quite a bit shorter than most of my other stuff, but I think it's nice.
Composed by Kris Maddigan and arranged by me
