Cuphead is one of the greatest games I've ever played. When I first bought it back in October 2017 — and to give you a sense of how long ago that is, Fortnite wasn't even popular yet — I picked it up purely on aesthetics. The art style looked remarkable, it was only twenty dollars, and I thought: I like fighting bosses, how hard can it be? I stopped playing after the first day. The game hit me so hard that I wanted nothing more to do with it. Then I started watching other people play it. Hearing their stories about the bosses that took them hours, the ones that almost broke their spirits, the ones that felt impossible until suddenly they weren't. That was enough to pull me back in....

For this series, I'll be looking at five categories to evaluate and score each game, then averaging them into a final score. Those categories are gameplay, art, music, replayability, and story. Let's get into it.
