Vehicle Acceleration Management, or VAM, is an electronic feature that is available on all 2013 or newer on-highway Cummins diesel engines. The feature is designed to reduce tire wear, limit driveline shock, and improve fuel economy by limited excessive acceleration in lightly loaded, bobtail, or diminishing load applications.
