SmartCoast is a new feature that is available with the ADEPT Feature package and requires the use of an AMT transmission and a 2013 or newer Cummins ISX15 400-475 hp engine. SmartCoast leverages the momentum of downhill conditions and allows the engine to operate at idle speeds for better fuel economy. To get SmartCoast, have your dealer spec’ the vehicle with an AMT transmission and the ADEPT feature package, or contact your local Cummins Representative to purchase the ADEPT calibration. PowerSpec will allow you to turn on or turn off SmartCoast once an ADEPT engine calibration is recognized. You can download PowerSpec, a free computer application, at cumminsengines.com/powerspec. Talk to your local Cummins representative to receive free licensing rights.
Predictive Cruise uses upcoming terrain data to modulate the engine’s torque level and manage vehicle speed in order to improve fuel economy without compromising trip time. Predictive Cruise requires Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Interface Specifications (ADASIS) capable hardware such as eHorizon. Predictive Cruise Control is only available on the 2013 or newer ISX15 engines.
