So, I bought a new laptop and after I installed Windows 7 (I pity the people who play Tetris on Windows 10) I was able to play Cultris II about 5 to 10 BPM faster than before (majorly because I can use a shorter autorepeat delay now). So I thought it would be a good idea to try Uber l33t mode. It wasn't. I've always avoided Uber l33t like the plague and I was so damn right. In the 6 hours I tried I never got down to 100 lines left. Not once. I am still not fast enough to have the slightest chance. So I recorded a video of Grande Finale instead. I managed to beat it in 8 consecutive games again (I once did that before on my old laptop, this time probably with less luck involved).
*Rant Mode on* Maybe it's just me being pissed that I am not l33t enough, but how the hell can it be that beating the hardest challenge is harder than beating the second hardest challenge 8 times in a row? That's bad design. I remember Simon readjusting the difficulties of those 2 involved challenges and I told him that the skill gap would be too big. I was so damn right but nobody ever listens to me. Instead he believed in his statistics (WAS ERLAUBE SIMON?!). I mean in Uber l33t the garbage lines come at a 50% higher rate than in Grande Finale and it takes longer to clear. So basically you have to play 50% faster. That's simple logic. OK that's all I had to say (ICH HABE FERTIG!).
