Today in Cuenca Ecuador we visit the Museo Pumapungo which I highly recommend. The museum itself doesn't allow much photography inside, but there's lots to see inside and outside, so figure at least half a day to take full advantage of the museum. Cafe Zen-tir on Calle Larga near the museum is a nice coffee spot, too! I track of all our expenses and total up the cost for a fun day in Cuenca Ecuador. We love the culture, the food, and the excitement and challenge of living in Ecuador. And the the cost of living in Cuenca Ecuador is great, too. But life in South America, as with most travels, will be easier if you leave your expectations at home and travel with an open mind.
