When one encounters a non-fatal (all stitches dropped) CSM error you have three options. 1) continue and make it part of your design 2) undo and start over from scratch or 3) undo the unwanted stitches and restart from there. This video shows that last option :)
How to unknit on lowered needles is universal on all machine UNTIL you need to move the crankwheel to go further back. That function I find is easiest on my closed Cam CSM like my Legare where needles do not have to be raised to work further in reverse. Regardless to machine live stitches can still drop if they aren’t managed. This shows that management using the Legare. Check it out.
