so uh
yeah i beat crystal garden
its been 7.5 months since ive had hard list sweep and this one map has been the thing looming over my head the entire time like an unobtainable fruit in a tree which would taste so good if i ate it, but climbing up felt like it was covered in pins and needles .. and spinners , and kevins
you have no idea how good it feels to not only beat this map, but HAVE. FUN. with it.

also, i recorded room 1 with obs (hence the input display) and rooms 2-4 with shadowplay (hence the lack of input display), i wanted to screenshare the whole time and screensharing + recording with obs is Very laggy, im playing Crystal Garden i Do Not Want to lag and have my inputs drop. that is also why there are lag spikes throughout the video because my disk likes to randomly jump to 75-100% for a little bit and that makes shadowplay lag, but not my game. at one point i was listening to music in the bg and every time the song would change the disk would jump up for a bit, so i paused at every song change if i was mid attempt lol
the first 8 hours on room 2 were done on the same day and my pb was basically kevin hit / past the first nyoom 3 times total
then the next day i told parrot and he showed me two much better strats for the Garbage ultra chain which helped. SO MUCH like holy shit the room went from unfathomably hard and me doubting myself to "i can literally clear this rn", thanks dog for having the strat where you just jump around the kevin instead of do a really stupid frame perfect / impossible downleft dash at the end of the ultra chain, and thanks parrot for the strat where you just slide off of the first crumble block instead of jump since that makes it so much more in your control.
i probably died to the kevin hit and past ~21 times, i got past it i think 9 times?
i also got past the kevin hit twice in a row, so that was a moment

and no, this is not some elaborate joke, i did in fact beat crystal garden.
day 1 i beat room 1 in 50 mins
day 2 i spent 8 hours on room 2
day 3 i beat room 2, 3, and 4 in a bit more than 5 hours
