A little info on Crysis 2 Remastered…
Released in October 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, Crysis 2 Remastered revitalizes the 2011 sci-fi shooter with significantly enhanced lighting, 4K resolution support, and ray-traced reflections. Set in 2023, the plot follows Alcatraz, a Marine who is thrust into a war-torn, virus-stricken New York City after being gifted the advanced Nanosuit 2.0 by the previous protagonist, Prophet. As the city is besieged by the Ceph, an ancient alien race, and policed by the ruthless C.E.L.L. private military corporation, players must navigate a collapsing urban jungle to stop a global extinction event.
The gameplay centers on the Nanosuit’s versatile abilities, allowing players to toggle between Armor for frontline combat, Cloak for stealthy infiltration, and Power for enhanced mobility and strength. Unlike the sprawling tropical islands of the first game, this sequel offers a more vertical, "sand-box-on-rails" experience within the ruins of Manhattan, encouraging tactical freedom in how to approach each firefight. Upon its release, the remaster was generally well-received by critics and fans alike; it was praised for its impressive technical polish and smooth 60 FPS performance on modern consoles, though some noted that the underlying AI issues from the original 2011 release remained largely unaddressed.
