A bit late to the party here, but this story involving Buddy Nielsen of Senses Fail and his Facebook activity made me want to come on and share some feelings about the purposes of social media and the burden of being a public figure. Also expressed are my opinions on blocking as well as talking in between songs at concerts.
Please don't take my issues with Buddy's rants as anti-gay. Nowhere in this video do I say or imply that I take issue with him speaking about LGBTQ issues. I don't like when words are being put in my mouth. So please know that going into this video. Also note that there is nothing wrong with wanting venting space, just as long as it isn't in a professional setting.
As South Park put it in their (at the time of this video) most recent episode: “You're sad that people are mean? Well I'm sorry, the world isn't one big liberal arts college campus. We eat too much, we take our spoiled lives for granted, feel a little bad about sometimes! NO! You wanna put your shit up on the internet and have every single person say, "hooray for you"? FUCK YOU! You're all pricks!"
