Gamecube and PS2 game Ultimate Spider-Man had a tough act to follow coming off of Spider-Man 2 setting a high standard for Spidey games. But it had a big advantage in the form of Venom being playable in an open-world Spider-Man game for the first time. And using the then-ongoing-and-popular Ultimate universe version of Spider-Man to tell a unique and canon-to-the-comics story.
I decided to revisit the game and see how well it had aged since I last played it... back in 2005? Oh my god this games over 20 years old???
