The ALL-NEW VU Meter technology is placed on top of every Crunch V Drive amplifier and allows for convenient tuning for capturing the best possible sound from your Crunch car audio installation or setup. Easily fine-tune your audio from on top of every Crunch V Drive amplifier heat sink with an immersive VU Meter display.
Gain Setup Steps:
- First we want to make sure all necessary connections are made including the, Power, Ground, and remote turn on wires, as well as your RCA connections, which will be routed from the amp to your source unit.
- Next turn the volume on your radio to 3/4ths of its maximum setting and play the Test tone available on our website 1kHz for high level and 100Hz for low level
- Set the gain level for your amplifier to the maximum voltage
- Make sure the amplifier illumination switch is selecting the VU meter
You should see the meter peaking in the yellow or red illumination zones
- For best results dial the amplifier's level knob back until the VU meter is peaking in the green illumination zone.
Once your VU meter is registering in the green during this adjustment your optimal gain is set and you're ready to go.
