As Link enters the once-great Clock Town, a curtain for darkness descends all around him.

Only a few weeks back it was as bustling and busy as ever, but now all four corners of the town are almost unrecognisable, with evil seeping from every crack in the decaying brickwork.

In the land of Termina, an uneasy peace had settled after the heroic deeds of the young hero, Link, and the miraculous vanquishing of the ominous moon that threatened to destroy the world.

But the winds of fortune were shifting once more, and a dark omen swept across the land from far beyond its borders. The Triforce, a relic of immense power, began to resonate with an evil force, calling out to Link and foretelling of an old and terrible power rising again…
