In 1989 I started my first cruise ship contract as a professional dancer/singer, I was using it as a stepping stone to gain experience with the hopes of one day working in the West End shows of London.

When I returned to Britain I discovered there was a stigma attached to being a cruise ship dancer, I hope that stigma has now been eliminated.
