Crow Hill just showed a simple CR-78 sample playback module. I turned off all the on-board fx (which are pretty good) and made a little loop to see how it felt and dealt. Pretty cool. Great for the price (email and time to set up).
Like several other early drum boxes, like the Korg 55, CR-78 is great because even though the sounds are very simple and limited, they feel very versatile as you mix and process them.
