Following the Christmas break, a new diveunder at Acton has opened on a busy section of the railway in west London.

The dive under will increase capacity on a busy section of the Great Western Main Line, allowing more trains to run more reliably.

Passenger trains coming from the west will no longer be held up by freight trains leaving and entering the nearby Acton freight yard.

The dive under is now in use for Great Western Railways trains and
will be used by new Elizabeth line trains when the service
opens fully in 2019.
