Learn this easy RIPPLE STITCH, and use it to make washcloths, blankets, afghans, pillows, table runners, shawls, shrugs, scarves, or jackets and vests! Begin with a foundation chain in multiples of 14 + 3. This stitch is similar to the chevron stitch, but it leaves no holes and results in a closed texture, whereas the chevron stitch will have some openings. I used a 5.5 mm hook, and worsted weight yarn. Approx. 800 yards (2 skeins) of Bernat Premium yarn for a baby blanket, and begin with chain 115.
