In my crochet tutorial today I’ll be showing you how to make this small crochet kangaroo applique.

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colors (383) Ginger Gold and (105) Bridal White. Crochet hooks, I used a 2.5mm hook and a 2.25mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends, a pair of scissors. Black thread and needle to embroider on the eye and nose.
The finished size will be 9cm wide x 8cm high (3.5” wide x 3” high) for the larger kangaroo, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the kangaroo in Catona will be 7cm wide x 7cm high (2.75” wide x 2.75” high). The medium kangaroo will be 6cm wide x 5.5cm high (2.5” wide x 2.25” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small kangaroo will be 4.5cm wide x 4cm high (1.75” wide x 1.5” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
