I had so much fun working with @nuggetcomfort to bring their April Fools vision to life!
Every year, they post an April Fools joke teasing a new product they don’t typically intend to release. This year, it was a crochet cover for the Nugget couch and their Chunk ottoman.
I had the pleasure of designing and crocheting it for them, and Ava got to have her modeling debut—she felt like a superstar working with such a well-known brand!
Honestly, this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had collaborating with a brand. They stayed in touch with me throughout the entire process, answered any questions I had quickly, and even helped stage our living room to get the best shots.
There are some wonderful people over there, and I have nothing but great things to say about them.
All in all, this was such a fun project! It was definitely hard to keep it a secret from you all, though—I hope you love the final look and got a kick out of their April Fools prank.
A lot of people have been messaging me about the pattern. I talked with Nugget about it, but we decided to shelf it for now so I could focus on getting their content ready on time. We might revisit the idea later, though!
Truthfully, I don’t think the Nugget cover would be worth releasing—that thing was an absolute beast to make! But the Chunk? Oh, she’s golden. It only takes about two days and 4–5 skeins of Bernat Blanket Yarn to whip up, and it’s made with the Bobble stitch. You all know how much I love me some bobbles.
I promise to update you if we decide to do anything with the pattern!
