Crochet Mason Jar Cozy Pattern:
Crochet Hook: G/6/4.25MM
Yarn: 4 Medium, Cotton, (Lily Sugar N’Cream, Color: Jute)
1 Quart-Sized, Wide-Mouth Mason Jar
Attach yarn to crochet hook using a Magic Circle (MC).
Row 1: CH 2, place 11 DC inside MC. SL st in 1st DC to join (11 total DC st).
Row 2: CH 2, place 2 DC in each st in the row (1st st is current st where you placed the SL st to join). Skip SL st & CH 2, then SL st in 1st DC to join (22 total DC st).
Row 3: CH 2, place *1 DC in st 1, 2 DC in st 2.* Repeat * around the row (1st st is current st where you placed the SL st to join). Skip SL st & CH 2, then SL st in 1st DC to join (33 total DC st).
Row 4: CH 2, place *1 DC in st 1-2,, 2 DC in st 3.* Repeat * around the row (1st st is current st where you placed the SL st to join). Skip SL st & CH 2, then SL st in 1st DC to join (44 total DC st).
Row 5: CH 1, place 1 SC in the BLO of each st in the row (1st st is current st where you placed the SL st to join). Skip SL st & CH 1, then SL st in 1st SC to join (44 total SC st).
Rows 6 - 8: Repeat Row 5.
Row 9: CH 1, place 1 SC in each st in the row (1st st is current st where you placed the SL st to join). Skip SL st & CH 1, then SL st in 1st SC to join (44 total SC st).
Row 10: CH 1, then working in the front loops left behind in Row 8, skip 3 FLO, then place 1 TR in the 4th front loop. Working in the top row again, place 1 SC in the following 3 stitches. *Working back in the FLO from Row 8, skip the next 3 FLO, and place 1 TR in the 4th FLO. Working in the top row again, skip the next st, then place 1 SC in the following 3 st.* Repeat * around the row. Skip the SL st & CH 1, and SL st in 1st TR st to join (44 total st).
Rows 11 - 24: Repeat Rows 5 - 10. End the last set of SC in the BLO after completing 2 rows to avoid making this too tall (you should have 3 sets of the TR slanted st, ending with 2 rows of SC in the BLO).
Cut and tie off yarn.
Insert quart-sized mason jar.
