Croagh Patrick, just outside of Westport, Mayo was a special hike of spiritual essence begun in the darkness yet it illuminated by us by the end. A mountain of vast significance to people for thousands of years, We decided to climb and be at the top for an amazing sunrise in a darkness into light challenge. This hike left us speechless and tapped into an inner peace I've experienced on only a few occasions. Just one of those times you take a chance and pays off in ways you couldn't possibly imagine. Croagh Patrick, named after the saint has been a pilgrimage route for thousands of years and continues to this day.
