The CRL Systems SPP-800 is one of the finest automatic gain controllers ever made. It is basically identical to the AGC built into CRL's "Amigo" AM and FM broadcast processors, and is audibly transparent on most program material, even when used here at its maximum extent, with -15 dB gain reduction and a fast release time.
A full review of this processor will be coming in due time, but for now, enjoy the sound of the SPP-800 processing a variety of music, and also the light show created by its large multi-color front-panel LEDs!
