In this video we look at what I call the "basic fallacy" associated with critical thinking about coincidences. This is the fallacy of inferring that an unlikely coincidence can only be explained by design or some external force.

This video lays out the argumentative structure of this line of reasoning, and the location in the argument where the error usually occurs.
