Here starts my 100% playthrough of Criminal Cleaner Simulator for PlayStation 4. Or is it "Cleanup"? The title is different depending on where you look, but it says "cleaner" in the logo so let's go with that.
This first level, apparently all the ketchup bottles in a local "dinner" have exploded simultaneously and they need me to come wipe the place down and get rid of all the passed out diabetics.
Positives about this game:
The mess in the levels is randomized between playthroughs, which is very cool.
The negatives:
It's a buggy mess. For starters, it's impossible to get 100% in the first level when choosing 'new game' because it will always ask you to find 5 pieces of evidence, but the game only ever spawns 1-4 pieces in the level at random. You have to choose to play "Dinner" from level select to have a chance at getting accurate results, hence the replay in this video.
I wrote down "chance at getting accurate results" above because they can still sometimes be randomly wrong anyway. Sometimes even the tasks per room are wrong on screen, although they're usually counted correctly overall just as long as you do everything.
Some trash can spawn in spots where it can't be picked up, like inside the yellow dumpster for example. Sometimes it's possible to 'physics' it out with the bucket, sometimes not.
There's a glitch where if you pick up something right after switching to hands, you'll get stuck holding the item, unable to interact with anything. If it's the bucket you're stuck with, it's still possible to fix it by switching tools between the hands and the bucket really fast and spamming triangle. If it's a trash bag you're holding, just quit. It's over. Well, actually you can then choose continue from main menu and the bag will have disappeared.
Just remember to let the animations play out before picking anything up, ok!
If all your controls get locked, just pause and continue. Bug. Minor annoyance.
There's a tool called "Detergent" that you can pour into the bucket to make mopping stronger, or so the tutorial would tell you. In actuality it does literally nothing.
The "blood settings" in the options that I set to hard? Does nothing. It affects absolutely nothing.
There's a sponge or brush tool that the game recommends for more delicate cleaning of tables and such because it won't knock objects over. But then neither does the mop, and items other than trash, movable furniture and the bucket are completely static, there's no physics to affect even if the mop could hit things, which it can't.
The brush is also slower, taking 6 swipes to clean a blood spatter while the mop does it in 4.
The beginning cutscene after choosing new game is literally the only bit of "story" in this game, there's nothing more after that. There's also no special reward for 100%-ing the game, but of course we're not here for such nonsense anyway. Cleaning is it's own reward.
