Capturing Reality | CRhub: Sri Lanka's monuments preserved in 3D by Zamani @CapturingReality | Uploaded March 2020 | Updated October 2024, 15 hours ago.
Zamani went to Sri Lanka spatially document historic sites such at Polonnaruwa and Medirigiriya.
From laser scans and photos obtained, they were able to create detailed 3D models using RealityCapture.
Accurate and lifelike 3D models such as these are a great source of knowledge for education, archaeology studies, and preservation.

Equipment used:
- Z&F and Leica laser scanner.
- DJI Phantom 4 for aerial photogrammetry and Nikon DSLR for taking terrestrial photos.
