Spain is battling some of the worst wildfires in the country’s history, with tens of thousands of people evacuated as extreme heat and dry conditions fuel the flames.

A record-breaking blaze in Ávila has burned more than 50,000 hectares, while major fires are also threatening communities near Madrid and València.
