1. The mother was disposing of the bodies for her son. When he killed her, there was no one getting rid of the bodies anymore.

2. The occupants were locked inside their rooms. So the knocking he heard wasn’t the ghosts trying to get in...they were already in his room and were trying to get out.

3. The letter carrier killed the grandson so he wouldn’t have to deliver the letters anymore.

4. If the painting was of a sleeping girl, the eyes should have been closed. The painting is haunted. 👀
