On September 26, 2020, the Emory Dance Program hosted this virtual Creativity Conversation with Jawole Willa Jo Zollar of Urban Bush Women. In 2004, Coca-Cola Artist in Residence Jawole Willa Jo Zollar of Urban Bush Women restaged "are we democracy? ... we the people." This conversation with the original Emory Dance Company cast will address the relevance of the choreographic work today as we still fight racialized voter suppression.
