Oh boy, God sure has been working on me lately...this morning He took me to 1 Corinthians 13 and majorly stepped on my toes again. I’m feeling like the most UN-loving person on the planet right about now. Why is it so easy to love strangers but so hard to love those closest to you? You see, love is not a feeling, like our society would have you believe. Love is an ACTION. It takes work, being intentional and SACRIFICE. If you need a picture to make it clearer, think of Jesus hanging on a cross for you, naked, beaten, bruised, mocked, YET WILLINGLY. That’s what Love looks like, and that’s the kind of love we should be living out each day...in our marriages, our families, and our friendships. Love has nothing to do with us, but everything to do with SOMEONE ELSE. Lord, help me to love like Christ loves, willingly, intentionally, and sacrificially. It’s not about me. Let them see YOU.
