The Creative Economy Access to Finance Summit at the Bristol Beacon brought together regional leaders, investors, entrepreneurs and policymakers to examine how the West of England can strengthen and scale its creative economy. Delivered in partnership by UWE Bristol and the West of England Combined Authority, the event focused on practical ways to improve access to finance and support business growth across the region.
Speakers included West of England Mayor Helen Godwin and Sir Peter Bazalgette, Chancellor of UWE Bristol and Co‑Chair of the Creative Industries Council, who outlined the region’s investment potential and the importance of backing creative businesses as they grow.
A panel of founders and finance specialists added insight from industry, discussing routes to investment, the value of creative IP, and how the region can better support companies working in film, TV, digital media and the wider creative industries.
