Inspired by collections at the National Portrait Gallery and the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, artist Maryam Wahid has worked with students from Barr's Hill School to celebrate Coventry people.

Running until 30 May 2022, Creative Connections Coventry sees portraits of the students displayed alongside paintings and photographs from the galleries' collections, depicting famous figures with connections to the city including George Eliot, EM Forster, The Specials, Philip Larkin, Ellen Terry, Billie Whitelaw, Ira Aldridge, John Piper and Mo Mowlam.
