What does it take to bring a dueling coaster to life? From the moment we first saw Dueling Dragons at Guangzhou Sunac Land, we were blown away with its design and execution. For the first time, two LSM coasters (a sit down and an inverted side) launch on top of each other into a connecting vertical loop and spike- an incredible visual that came with a unique set of challenges to overcome. Designed and manufactured by Intamin, the team had to create a layout that allowed for perfectly timed crossovers. The end results are nothing short of stunning. We sat down with Intamin’s Daniel Schoppen and Tobias Jeck to find out what it took to see this ride through to opening.
