This tutorial creates a fluid or liquid text effect in After Effects. This text is as close as we have come to creating fluid simulation without using a dedicated 3D app. For anyone making a scary movie or horror film, this would be great for opening sequence titles or end credits
While this is a stylized look, the fluid is highly detailed and animates very smoothly and realistically with 3D lighting effects. Because of the high detail, if you set your composition resolution high enough, this effect could even be used for graphic design print work.
Note that this is a procedural effect and the text is live so you can edit fonts or words on the fly. You could also replace the original text layer with shapes to create an animated logo or graphic.
