In this Photo Deconstruction, I take you behind the scenes of a vintage-inspired fashion shoot using a simple and affordable DIY set to create an old Hollywood glamour style photo.

The lighting setup consisted of:
1. Main light: Magnum Reflector with grid for focused illumination on the subject's face and torso.
2 & 3. Rim lights: Two strip softboxes with grids and CTO gels for highlights along the body and chest.
4. Fill light: Large umbrella with diffusion to lift shadows and maintain detail.
5. Overhead rim light: Optical spot with a warming gel to subtly highlight the hair.
🖌 Post Processing
- White balance was corrected to reduce excessive warmth.
- Overall desaturation and warming up of the image were applied.
- Specific adjustments were made to skin tones by desaturating and lightening certain hues.
- Contouring techniques were used to enhance facial and body features.
- Additional vignetting was applied to draw focus towards the subject.
- Wrinkles in the curtain were smoothed out, and the curtain was extended where necessary.
- Minor adjustments were made to the image proportions to enhance the overall composition.
