A new commission piece is always exciting, but when Tavolino restaurant at Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, asked for a 50-ft mural in their cafe & bar, I was beyond thrilled! Using iPad mockups for the client and Uni Posca markers to create the art, the project was a whirlwind, especially during the coronavirus outbreak. Watch to see how the piece, "3 Garbanzos," a 50' x 5' illustration showcasing the fun, food, and characters you might find at this fabulous restaurant, was created and some of the important steps along the way. GEAR USED:
• Faber Castell 2H pencil
• White Prismacolor Premiere colored pencil
• Black and white Uni Posca acrylic paint markers (2mm, 8mm, and 15mm)
• Blick acrylic paints (assorted colors)
• General gum eraser
• #6 and #12 Princeton Summit 6100B "Bright" acrylic brushes
• #10 and #12 Simply Simmons round acrylic brushes
• Tavolino's Margherita pizza with jalapénos
• other miscellaneous supplies
