In this tutorial by flomotion you will learn how to create a zombie as you have seen in the walking dead.

You will learn how to shoot footage with and without green screen and add layers to it, to create a creepy zombie look.

Learn how to motion track the footage with the help of mocha.
I will show you how to set up the motion tracking effect within After Effects and how to use Moch from Boris FX it in the best way possible.

In addition to the motion tracking and some handy tips and workflow tricks I am going to show you how to use stock footage from Film Riot / triunedigital.

What is the tutorial all about:

Learn how I have filmed the scene, so that we can later track something onto my face with mocha for after effects as well as track parts onto my body and chest with mocha! Therefore I used a greenscreen to get rid of my body at first; and I am showing you how this process is done in a real world production at "The walking dead" as well as "umbre" from "HBO"

Then I am going to show you 3 ways on getting assets:
1. shoting them yourself
2. from the internet
3. VFX stock elements

for all 3 methods I am giving you tips and tricks.

Once this is done you will get insights on how to create a realistic look, with some shadows, inner shadows (with layer styles) and some bevels with the bevel alpha effect.

I will go over the most common mistakes in mocha and how to avoid them with some easy to use checklist:
check your resolution for your comp, your footage and your tracked element and do all of that on the same frame within mocha and after effects.

Bonus in this tutorial:
learn how to animate a still image with the help of some slimy texture, the bulge effect and some easy expressions.
