A guide to showing how to place loads of images on a timeline and space them out automatically.

According to YouTube analytics, there's a gap in search where people want to find ways to quickly arrange dozens of photos onto a timeline. I'm guessing a lot of After Effects users might not have heard of Sequence Layers, which is understandable as it is hidden in the in the Keyframe Assistant menu.

Sequence Layers automatically spaces out your images based on each's duration and let's you include an overlap for transitions. It is super quick to use and once you are aware of how to set it up correctly, it will save you time.

$Procedural Asteroid Field in Blender Welcome to my series on learning Blender for @AdobeVideo After Effects users. Im learning Blender, the open-source 3D modelling and animation tool. Im very comfortable in AE. About a year ago, I created an asteroid field using CC Particle World and wanted a 3D rock for the foreground. I got something acceptable using Cinema4D Lite, but it was a frustrating experience, so Ive been working towards replacing it with Blender. In this video, Ill take you through a procedural technique for creating lots of rocks. The concept isnt mine, it came from @AugustRenders - they made a 60 second tutorial, which works great if you know Blender, but its a little hectic if youre still learning the difference between Edit and Object modes. Well take a cube, add an array modifier to it, then convert that into separate models. Well then use the subdivide tool to create organic, fractal shapes.
