This is a fairly complex track. Oxide here isn't that much of a threat, but the track itself can mess with you, especially if you're trying to hit that first shortcut. It's fairly janky to hit it with all character types. I also am unsure of what path at the beginning to take to be faster, but I'm just used to the left path. In this version, they botched the final jump. If you're even remotely okay at this game, you'll pass over the turbo pad every time and not get the USF boost, while in the original you just had to touch anywhere on the ice jump to get the boost. So because of that I had to intentionally drop my reserves and go slow to get a USF, and you're in the air so long you need at least a small reserve to keep it going. It's quite obnoxious to deal with. You can sorta powerslide into it just fine too, but I was already used to doing it this way.
