*Diddy cannot grab the GB shown in the video under normal circumstances. I made it obtainable to show how high Diddy can go.

"Diddy's skid jump is useless since you don't gain any height"
Well sure, his regular skid might not give you height but the skid from the end of Chimpy Charge sure is another story!

Diddy's Chimpy Charge is a really interesting move in that you can cancel the charge + get the collision by Jumping on the frame before the collision takes place. This will put you into a Jumping state and will likely also buffer a Double Jump. More interestingly however, you can cancel the Jumping state for a frame by pressing Z when you jump. This will put you into the Crouch state and will allow you to perform any Crouching action, such as Long Jump, Backflip, Throw an Orange or even Chimpy Charge!

Why is any of that information important? Because you can combine all of these pieces together to perform what I call "Crash Climbing" or "Crash Climb". Chimpy Charge at a wall and hit the wall during the Skid part of the Chimpy Charge (this is the part that has dust particles). Press A and Z on the frame before colliding. This will cause Diddy to perform a Knockback Jump where he will rise at the same rate that he normally would with a regular jump. Press B to start a Chimpy Charge once you can enter the Crouch state again, and you will continue rising for a little while since the startup of Chimpy Charge perfectly preserves Y Velocity! You can continue to chain these, but you will lose some Y Velocity with each Chimpy Charge since your Y Velocity will continue to decrease while in the Jump or Crouch state.

Need to go higher? You can continue chaining Crash Climbs to get a ton of height by Chimpy Charging slightly away from the wall, then colliding with the wall in midair once the Skid part of Chimpy Charge has started. Perform another Knockback Jump and your Y Velocity will be reset back to 200!

If you combine a Max Length, No Reset Crash Climb Chain + Backflip to finish, Diddy can gain up to 267.65 height, which is more than double what a Moonkick + Jump + Aerial gives (110.625 height). Diddy is insane! The downside, of course, is that you barely get any horizontal distance unless you perform Max Length Crash Climb Reset Chains along a wall, which is obviously slow.

One last thing - we love Diddy's Skid Jump here. Don't say anything bad about it. Thank you.
