This finale is going to be a little anticlimactic in terms of difficulty and the main reason is the next battle. You have a very limited number of turns to deal with him, so you need to go in as powerful as possible. Since I didnt want to just Sneak Attack KotR them, I decided to go for something you will most likely only see once in any of my challenges - Barret and Vincent with fully realized ultimate weapons. Thats right. Barrets weapon has 8 mastered KotR while Vincent has 65535 kills. They both have Fury Rings for 50% extra damage, and Barret has the Gigas Armlet for +30 Atk and Vincent has a Ziedrich for +20 that he also needs to be able to survive Bizarros regular attack.
However, since their levels are so low, you are not gonna see any overflows here. Not even close. In fact, this battle is not an automatic win. If you get a turn before Sephiroth and kill the head, he will use Aurora Fence, which means the characters will lose both Fury and Berserk and then Barret wont be able to survive an attack. You also need to kill the arms before they can use their level 3 spells, unless they are used on Cloud, who has the Tetra Elemental. Barret didnt have room for any Elemental combos in his armor and Vincent doesnt have any armor slots at all. Then you have to hope he doesnt attack Barret or Vincent twice before you can kill him. Thankfully, it doesnt require a lot of luck for things to go right, and I only needed two attempts.

This is the first major roadblock in the challenge. Its the kind of battle where I had no clue what to do and had to do trial and error to figure something out. The main problem is that Aerith simply doesnt have enough HP. His regular physical attack deals 250 damage to her and she can only get 177 back from Healing Wind. She can also get healed by Fire2 if she gets possessed since I have level 3 Elementals now, but they will run out of MP and then you will die really fast. Even with Fury and Howling Moon the damage output is poor, so I just couldnt stay alive long enough. If I could use Pulse of Life, the battle wouldnt be a problem at all as long as she doesnt get criticald, but that requires an arrow button and Great Gospel isnt available yet.
Lets try Cait Sith then. Not only does he have much more HP, but he can heal too, right? Yeah, you can operate the Slots, but theres one problem. You cant slow them down with the square button. You can practice getting the combinations you want, and Mog Dance is one of the easier ones, so you can even get consistent at it. However, when youre five minutes into an intense battle, its suddenly not as easy anymore. You will see two examples of that in this battle. Instead, I decided to go for Lucky Girl at the beginning. Its harder to get, but since you do it at the beginning, theres no pressure and that makes it much easier to pull off. Lucky Girl makes you get critical hits all the time for constant double damage. With a Fury Ring on Cloud and Red using Howling Moon for an additional 60% strength boost, I was able to deal enough damage to last the whole battle even though my Mog Dance attempts failed.

In the Berserk challenge, I did this on level 14 and it was a really close call, so how is it going to go at level 6 with 2/3 of the damage? Not well, unless you level up your HP Plus Materia. In fact, I had to master it and level up the new one to level 4, and it had to be that exactly that because this battle is only possible within a narrow HP range. With more HP, Barret would require more than two attacks to get a limit break, and with less he would die. Once you have the right amount of HP, you need to enter the battle with Fury and you need to get the first turn. Then keep attacking and using your limit breaks as you get them. With some luck, you can get in an attack and a limit break on the same turn, but this is not necessary. You are even allowed to miss a few attacks. However, Dyne is absolutely not allowed to miss once he enters the double attack phase, or else you wont be able to deal enough damage. This actually happened several time. He is not allowed to use his 50% chance final attack either, so this battle is pretty luck reliant.
As you can imagine, getting 80000 AP at this point in the game takes a while. This challenge requires a of materia leveling, but since its already gameshark assisted to keep the levels low, I will use codes for that too. Just remember that Im only cheating time and Im not doing anything I couldnt do under the rules of the challenge. For this particular leveling session, I would fight Bloatfloats in Mt. Corel. They are not too hard to kill and give decent AP.
Also, I know I said videos every other day now, but I picked the wrong day to start, since Im busy tomorrow. Besides, I had to upload a video on 7/7/7 (2+0+2+3 = 7).

This had to wait until now. Not only do I now have access to much better equipment, but I can also buy materia thats higher on Yuffies priority list and keep more of the good stuff. Tifa gets to be the star of this battle, and I dont even remember the last time a strategy relied on the Powersoul. Death Sentence gives her 4x damage and she gets an additional 2x once her HP is yellow for a total of 8x damage. She also has Cover and a level 4 Counter Attack. I still didnt bother mastering it and the only reason this battle was a close call is because I didnt get a counter on the attack that brought her HP into the yellow zone. The chance of countering at level 4 is 80%, but some times it feels more like 50%. Of course, this is still a luck reliant battle, as she needs to avoid Aero3 at all costs.
