For many weeks I have been working on the 350z and as you guys all know my issues began when I installed the new clutch. I had my suspicions on the flywheel/ pressure plate and as well as the VVT solenoids. I had replaced everything and still the car was stalling on me. Its crazy how everything happens because when I took off the VVT solenoids I noticed how dark the oil was and I was very confused because I replaced the oil twice and when I had drained it the first time after trying to drive it the oil was still a normal honey looking color but this time around the oil was dark black/silver. I said well while im on it I am going to change the lower oil pan since I had bought it a few weeks back when I replaced the upper oil pan that snapped when I torqued to spec and it snapped. I never got around to installing it up until now and that's when I noticed two thrust bearing washers in the pan. I always say everything happens for a reason and this was just the universe telling me " hey this girl already put so much time into this lets just tell her what's wrong". Honestly I was putting bandaids on this motor and it was about time I either replaced or rebuilt.
I am not a expert or a trained mechanic but this was definitely a learning experience that I never want to go through again lol Everything happens for a reason and this wasn't my time to go on the track. who knows what could have happened to me on my first track day.
Moving forward I want to install this correctly so I will be installing new motor mounts, lower control arms and all that jazz. Some of you might not understand why I am pouring money into this rust bucket but the reality is is that I have sentimental attachments to this car and I have my own reasons as to why im pouring the money into it. Regardless Eve will make a comeback this month , fingers crossed. Thank you to everyone who gave me advice and who still continue to guide me in the right direction.
