10-minute peek into a newly digitized 6-hour archive of my 1989 making-of footage from what was then called "Cranium Commando", and the "Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular".
It's fun to see Rebecca Rees, Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise storyboarding Cranium Commando in front of the public at the Disney-MGM Studios Animation Tour. I don't think anyone realized we were creating another Disney attraction right in front of them. And fun to see Darrell Rooney arriving from LA to join the team.
It's cool to see the moment Rebecca announced that she and the story team had "found Hypothalamus". That character had been a real problem up to that point, and they finally nailed his personality, which I chose Kirk Wise to voice.
There's a glimpse of Glenn Randall, renowned stunt coordinator from "Raiders of the Lost Ark".
Our firstborn son Ian arrived during this adventure and was on the set with us at 3 weeks, 3 days old!
I often used my home video camera to do auditions and rehearsals with our actors and proof of concept shots for the production crew to design around. Many more of these moments are in the 6-hour archive.
Much more to come, but at least I've started!
