I stumbled on this amazing technique while getting inky! Grab some Ranger Ink Yupo Paper, Alcohol Pearls (product links below) and a stencil, and prepare to be amazed! I give quick verbal instructions in the video but basically, you will hold your stencil down onto the Yupo paper (this paper is designed specifically for alcohol inks) and tap your ink onto the stencil. Don't fill in the gaps, just tap onto the stencil design, gently allowing the ink to come out. **You must SHAKE your alcohol pearl bottles vigorously for 20-30 seconds to allow the ink to flow, for your first use. Vary your colors randomly across your stencil, then gently peel back when finished, allowing your paper to dry. Allow to dry naturally as a craft heat tool can melt Yupo paper if too hot. The alcohol pearls have shimmer and you will be stunned at your gorgeous background that took less than 30 seconds to make for your paper crafting (tags, cards, etc.) These inks will stain your stencil. I used 91% isopropyl alcohol to remove much of the ink but it did not remove all. Pour the isopropyl alcohol in a disposable container or large zip bag and allow your stencil to soak for several hours or overnight. Rinse when done.
