We shouldn't shoehorn craft into protests where it isn't appropriate. It might seem like combining craft and activism is your way to engage in activism, but Sarah needs to gently burst that bubble early and explain that craftivism is just one tool in the activism toolkit. Sometimes it's very effective, sometimes it isn't. It's easy to overthink and become sidetracked by the approach. The old saying that if all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail comes to mind. The cause or issue comes first, and we work backwards from there.
