Hi everyone - This 40 or so minute video is all about making pretty, decorative and dimensional bezels to use with your journals. My desire for this video is for you to discover your own ideas and send you on a voyage of discovery. I often spend evenings searching for materials to use in my projects and I hope you will similarly search and find the best way to make yours. For this video, I feel like I have discovered materials that make this really accessible and easy for everyone. I will show you how to make "glass like" bezels with Mod Podge Dimension Magic medium as well as what I call "dry bezels' using mica alone.
UPDATE - I have searched out a definition of bezel:
"The bezel setting is one of the oldest and most secure ways to hold a stone in place. In this application, a bezel is a band of metal that wraps around the girdle (widest part) of a gemstone to hold it firmly in a setting."
I did not manufacturer the bases as they are bezel trays or paint trays etc that I am choosing to use as a "bezel." I am choosing to fill these bezel trays with a hardening medium which created the "jewel" effect.

UPDATE - They metal pans may be hard to rust nowadays as they seem to make them now from rust resistant materials- I bought these trays from an Etsy shop that no longer carries them as they are sold out. I am sorry if you can't get the full rusted effect - but - I do like the silver metal bezels as well.
All of the supplies for this can be found on Amazon. I would search for "1" metal eye shadow trays" as well as "bronze alloy bezel trays" when looking for supplies. The Mod Podge Dimensional Magic can be found on Amazon as well.

I have not used these - but I do think they will work.
